Dressing for the wedding day
It seems like the monsoon season is drawing to a close. And after a storm comes a breeze, as the saying goes. Merry time for couples comes after devastating floods that struck many parts of the country.
A wedding fair titled Love Garden organised by Uberlebende Communications in collaboration with The Myanmar Times was held on September 12 and 13 at the Myanmar Plaza promotion area. The fair showed evening gowns, Htamathein, Myanmar traditional wedding dress and women’s wedding-guest dresses made by eight local creative designers. He designed wedding-guest dresses from Myanmar’s traditional woven silk cheik that have colourful and sophisticated patterns. Using crystal accessories, he created dresses that look both smart and elegant.
“People prefer dresses in loose colours. I made the dresses for the fair. They look royal,” Khit Min said.
He added that the wedding fair is a one-stop service for couples to plan a perfect reception all at once.
